Arsenal have offered a new contract to midfielder Aaron Ramsey, the BBC have confirmed.
The 27-year-old is about to enter the final 12 months of his deal at the Emirates and the club will be keen to pen the Wales international down to a new deal this summer.
Ramsey has been with the North London club since joining from Cardiff City for £5 million in 2008. Despite picking up several injuries during his time with the Gunners the influential midfielder has scored 36 goals in his 234 Premier League appearances.
The box-to-box midfielder was among the club’s top scorers in all competitions last season by bagging 11 goals in 32 matches.
Aaron Ramsey has been a three-time FA Cup winner with Arsenal which included scoring the winner in two of those finals.
New Arsenal boss Unai Emery appears keen to keep Ramsey in the squad beyond next season with the club offering their star midfielder a new contract. The former-Paris Saint-Germain manager has so far been linked to signing several defenders for Arsenal, with the attack already in pretty healthy shape.
