Brighton & Hove Albion have completed the signing of Mali international Yves Bissouma from LOSC Lille for an undisclosed fee, the club have confirmed.
The 21-year-old has signed a five-year contract at Falmer Stadium.
Bissouma becomes the sixth summer signing completed by the Seagulls, following Florin Andone (Deportivo La Coruña), Leon Balogun (Mainz 05), Jason Steele (Sunderland), Bernardo (RB Leipzig) and David Button (Fulham).
Chris Hughton guided the Southeast club to a 15th place finish in their debut Premier League campaign last season. The Seagulls manager is now looking to build on his squad heading into their second consecutive season in the top flight.
Yves Bissouma made 55 appearances over two seasons for Lille.
The Mali international scored one goal and recorded two assists from central midfield in 24 Ligue 1 appearances (15 starts) last season. Bissouma is strong in the tackle and makes a number of interceptions per game, as well as being good at aerial duels.
