EFL Cup quarter-final draw confirmed

The draw for the quarter-finals of the 2019-20 EFL Cup has been made this morning.

Current holders Manchester City will travel to the Kassam Stadium to face League One outfit Oxford United.

Pep Guardiola’s side beat Southampton 3-1 at the Etihad Stadium on Tuesday night to progress. They beat Chelsea on penalties in last season’s final.

The lowest ranked remaining side in the competition, Colchester United, will head to Old Trafford to take on Manchester United.

The League Two side have seen off Swindon Town, Crystal Palace, Tottenham Hotspur and Crawley Town to get this far.

There are two all-Premier League ties in the EFL Cup quarter-finals this season. Everton entertain high-flying Leicester City at Goodison Park, and Premier League leaders Liverpool will take on Aston Villa at Villa Park.

These ties will be played on the week commencing 16 December with two matches set to be shown live on Sky Sports.
