Arsenal loan Dani Ceballos

Spanish playmaker Dani Ceballos has joined Arsenal on a season-long loan from Real Madrid, the Premier League side have announced.

The 22-year-old had previously impressed in La Liga with Real Betis before joining the Spanish giants in the summer of 2017.

Ceballos had been a regular in the Real Madrid team last season prior to Zinedine Zidane being reappointed in March.

With the attacking midfielder seemingly being surplus to requirements at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium, Gunners boss Unai Emery has made an exciting signing today.

Dani Ceballos has great technique and is an excellent passer of the ball. With Mesut Ozil not in the manager’s plans, he could be the ideal replacement for the German in the number 10 role.

The Spanish international looks after the ball well and despite not having many assists next to his name in the stats book, he is often the player to make the pass before the assist for the goal. Reminiscent of Luka Modric.

Dani Ceballos is Arsenal’s third signing of the summer, following the arrivals of Gabriel Martinelli and William Saliba to the Emirates. The latter was also announced today.
